Accessibility

American Grill Supply is committed to making our website and digital experiences usable and accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines and continuously improve our accessibility practices.

Our Commitment

  • Design and develop with accessibility in mind from the start.

  • Test with assistive technologies and keyboard-only navigation.

  • Remediate issues promptly and track progress.

  • Train our team on inclusive content and UI patterns.

Standards & Measures

We aim to meet or exceed:

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria

  • Semantic HTML with appropriate headings, lists, and landmarks

  • Meaningful link text and descriptive labels

  • Color contrast that meets AA guidelines

  • Keyboard operability without requiring a mouse

  • Focus indicators that are visible and consistent

  • Text alternatives (alt text) for informative images

  • Captions/transcripts for time-based media where applicable

  • Error prevention and clear form validation messages

Compatible Technologies

Our site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive tech, including:

  • Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver

  • Operating systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android

Note: Some older browsers/OS combinations may not support modern accessibility features.

How We Test

  • Automated scans for WCAG coverage (contrast, structure, ARIA)

  • Manual reviews of templates and core flows (search, cart, checkout)

  • Keyboard-only navigation checks

  • Screen reader spot checks for critical pages

Key Accessible Features

  • Skip-to-content link on supported templates

  • Logical heading order (H1–H6) and ARIA landmarks (header, main, nav, footer)

  • Forms with labels, instructions, and inline error messaging

  • Responsive layouts that support zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function

  • Images with alt text; decorative images marked appropriately

  • Non-text content does not rely on color alone to convey meaning

  • Buttons/links clearly identifiable and reachable via keyboard (Tab/Shift+Tab)

  • Modals and menus trap focus and can be closed with Esc

Known Limitations (Being Improved)

  • Some legacy images may need enhanced alt text.

  • A few long tables on archived pages may require additional headers for better screen reader support.

  • Third-party widgets (e.g., embedded reviews or financing modules) may have limited ARIA semantics; we report issues to vendors and seek accessible alternatives where possible.

Third-Party Content

We integrate services (payment gateways, shipping/tracking portals, review widgets) that we do not control. We require vendors to support accessibility and escalate defects when identified.

Requesting Accommodations or Alternative Formats

If you need content in an alternative format (e.g., accessible PDF, large print, transcript) or assistance with any part of the site, let us know and we’ll provide reasonable accommodations.

Feedback & Issue Reporting

If you encounter a barrier, please include the page URL, description of the issue, your browser/assistive tech, and (if comfortable) a screenshot or short description of the steps to reproduce. This helps us resolve issues faster.
