This Warranty Policy explains how warranties work for products purchased from American Grill Supply. Because we are an authorized dealer for multiple premium brands, warranty coverage, length, parts/labor, and procedures can vary by manufacturer. This page sets expectations and shows you how to get service quickly.
1) Overview
-
Most grills, outdoor kitchens, pizza ovens, and accessories we sell include a manufacturer’s warranty.
-
Coverage differs by brand/model. Always check the product page for posted terms (e.g., “5-year limited warranty,” “Lifetime burner warranty”).
-
If warranty details aren’t listed on a product page, contact us before purchase and we’ll confirm with the brand.
2) Who Provides the Warranty
-
Manufacturer Warranty (most items): The brand is responsible for repair/replacement/parts under its written policy.
-
Supplier Warranty (some private-label items): The supplier may administer coverage.
-
Our role: American Grill Supply is an authorized retailer. We’ll help you understand coverage and assist with claims, but final decisions are made by the manufacturer/supplier per their terms.
3) Warranty Duration & Proof of Purchase
-
Warranty periods vary (e.g., 1, 3, 5 years, or lifetime on select components like burners/fireboxes).
-
The warranty clock starts on your original purchase date shown on your invoice.
-
Keep your proof of purchase and product serial numbers/photos—most brands require them.
4) What’s Typically Covered / Not Covered
Usually Covered (brand terms control):
-
Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
-
Replacement or repair of defective parts
-
Labor during a specified period (if included by the brand)
Usually Not Covered (unless a brand explicitly includes it):
-
Normal wear and tear, discoloration, cosmetic damage (scratches/dents)
-
Improper installation, gas/electrical mistakes, misuse, negligence, accidents
-
Commercial use of residential-only products
-
Unauthorized modifications, non-approved parts, or conversions not performed to the brand’s spec
-
Consumables (batteries, gaskets, igniters after wear, covers, utensils, fuel) unless stated
-
Environmental exposure (e.g., coastal corrosion) beyond what the brand allows
Note: Freight/Transit damage is not a warranty issue. Inspect deliveries at arrival and note any damage on the carrier receipt before signing. Report within 24 hours so we can resolve via freight claim.
5) Installation & Maintenance Conditions
To keep coverage valid, many brands require:
-
Correct gas type (NG vs LP) and regulator/orifice as specified
-
Ventilation/clearances for built-ins; compliant island construction
-
Qualified installation for gas/electrical hookups where required by code/brand
-
Routine cleaning and maintenance (grease management, burner care, cover use)
When in doubt, consult the product manual or ask us before installation.
6) How to Request Warranty Service
Have this ready:
-
Order number, purchase date, your contact details
-
Product brand, model, serial (if applicable)
-
Description of the issue + clear photos/videos (overall unit, issue close-ups, serial tag)
Do not ship any item back until you receive written instructions. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
7) Costs & Responsibilities
-
If a claim is approved, the manufacturer supplies parts/repair per its policy.
-
You are responsible for any shipping, in-home service, or labor that the brand does not cover (e.g., labor after the covered period, technician travel, removal/reinstall).
-
White-glove or special handling services are not covered by warranties unless a brand states otherwise.
8) Limitations & Disclaimers
-
Warranties are non-transferable and apply to the original purchaser only.
-
Manufacturer terms override any general guidance on this page.
-
American Grill Supply does not make independent warranties beyond those of the manufacturer/supplier.
-
Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental/consequential damages; your rights may vary.
9) Brand-Specific Notes (Examples)
-
Burners / Fireboxes: Many premium brands offer extended or lifetime coverage on stainless burners/fireboxes (parts only; labor may be limited).
-
Ceramic/Cordierite Components (ovens): Often covered for defects but exclude thermal shock/misuse.
-
Electronics/Ignition: Typically shorter terms (e.g., 1–3 years) and exclude wear/consumables.
Always refer to the brand’s written warranty linked on the product page or manual.
